What You Will Be Doing
In this position, you will support the team as a Continuous Improvement Site Manager. This position seeks a self-motivated, creative individual aimed at improving our business performance by applying best practice improvement tools to become productive, satisfy our customers, and deliver more value to our shareholders. The successful candidate will improve our work environment, drive quality improvements, provide premier customer service, develop a qualified workforce, reduce operating costs, inventories, and lead times through continuous improvement in the site systems. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and deploying continuous improvement initiatives within the SEF s Global Operations and GSM Teams.
Essential Functions in this role will be: * Foster the adoption of continuous improvement as a way life; creating a culture of change. * Assist in defining and supporting standardized programs to educate employees in the principles of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing. * Assist in the identification and cross leveraging of best practices across the entire NA Operations team. * Build strong and positive working relationships with all functional areas. * Lead the implementation, coordination, and evaluation of continuous improvement actions across the extended value streams to eliminate waste and achieve targets. * Responsible for coaching the site leadership team in achieving the Site KPIs aligned with the site performance and CI goals. * Support the integration of previously unconnected processes (departments) into appropriately (shared resources) interconnected extended value streams as seen from the customer s perspective. * Support the development and utilization of current and future state value stream maps to identify strategic projects and corresponding rolling 12-month implementation plans that are aligned with the company s strategic direction. * Work with internal/external suppliers and customers on improving the total enterprise. * Support the identification of production requirements within the site ensuring alignment with process departments on needed capacity and priorities to achieve value stream goals along with the development and deployment of appropriate planning, replenishment and signaling tools and methodologies aligned with key engagement in business S&OP process. * Responsible for developing and deploying the Site(s) daily accountability process and employing problem solving methodologies to determine root cause and develop countermeasures for misses to daily targets, identifying and ensuring resolution of system issues and ensuring the successful accomplishment of extended value stream customer expectations. * Ensure consistent application of CI methodology and standard work in alignment with CI peers from other locations. * Leadership by example, supporting activities as needed or assigned by manager.
Your Skills * 5 years of professional experience with focus on production, logistics, engineering, and financial knowledge. * Bachelor s degree in engineering or technology discipline from an accredited institution required. * 5 years of experience in leading continuous improvement activities at a site level. * Six Sigma Green Belt required. Black Belt highly desirable * Experience leading plant lean transformation * Demonstrated change agent * Ability to lead associates through coaching and mentoring. * Highly energized and self-motivated with experience working with teams to implement change * Strong planning/organization & time management skills * Track record of successful project management * Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, utilize process and value stream mapping, and draw valid conclusions. Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time effectively. * Ability to effectively and efficiently lead cross functionally as well as with suppliers and customers. * Solid knowledge of the manufacturing processes * Credibility and experience to work effectively and directly with the senior on-site leadership team and beyond Employer's Job# 67313BR
