Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Program Director
Position Summary
Michigan State University College of Nursing invites applications for the position of Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Program Director. This is an annual year, fixed term faculty position.
The program director is a member of the full time faculty in the College of Nursing and is responsible for providing leadership regarding the overall planning, implementation, recruitment, evaluation and revision of the master’s and doctoral curricula. The program director works closely with College administration to achieve this mission. This position includes teaching, clinical practice and scholarship as part of the nursing faculty role.
The College is located in mid-Michigan in East Lansing on the Michigan State University campus. The East Lansing community offers a high quality of life and is close to recreational areas, sporting events and artistic performances and exhibits and a vibrant university life.

Required Degree
Doctorate -Nursing
Minimum Requirements
- DNP or PhD in nursing or related field;
- National certification as a Family or Adult/Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner;
- Unrestricted RN license without probationary status (or eligible);
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience in specialty area;
- Previous baccalaureate or higher teaching experience is required;
Desired Qualifications
Prior administrative experience is desired.
