United States The position is WW Account Manager in TI (Transportation Intermediary) Segment in Specialty Sales. Develops and maintains long term business relationships with large 3PL and Freight Forwarder accounts. Coordinates the use of company resources to provide a comprehensive value proposition for the customer. Responsible for the development of a business plan and strategy for each account. Provides leadership and guidance to other sales professionals in the development and execution of account strategies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinates the use of company resources to provide a comprehensive proposition for the customer. Develops and implements a comprehensive strategy for each account that ensures attainment of all required sales activities to include sales calls, service calls, proposal presentations, VIP trips, as well as any other sales activities (where ownership of the large account lies with the region) Provides input into the overall account strategy by participating in a regular and consistent global communication in conjunction with the sales owner and is responsible for the execution of that strategy at the local level (where ownership of the large account lies with another region) Provides leadership and guidance to other sales professionals in the development and execution of account strategies, ensuring any localized decisions support do not conflict with overall objectives for accounts Review all customer pricing proposals-becomes familiar with standards/processes for regions outside domicile. Identifies opportunities for account growth by understanding and quantifying customer s total potentials shipping spend and FedEx s potential share of that total spend, while offering customers a full array of values added services. Monitors competitors actions in each account to ensure that appropriate responses are formulated and communicated. Ensures attainment of revenue goals for assigned FedEx accounts. Establishes relationships with Senior officer levels within assigned accounts Develops and maintains account intelligence that records, stores, and reports all sales activities, account information, marketplace and industry information, competitive information, as well as any other necessary information compliance with the law. Directs the development and implementation of sales and marketing programs within assigned accounts Monitors FedEx companies product quality and customer satisfaction within assigned accounts Directs and/or executes problem resolution for all assigned accounts
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES CONSIDERED A PLUS Experience working with both cross-OpCo, global solutions and sales team members to deliver value for customer Solid track record of success in both Parcel and LTL Sales. Excellent business acumen, communication and leadership skills Ability to plan and work on multiple major, often high-visibility customer and/or internal assignments concurrently Strong internal and external network of contacts/resources Ability to tackle and solve complex and ambiguous business problems Strong leadership skills, working directly with customers at often high levels within their organizations

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree/equivalent in business administration with a major in marketing, finance, or other related business field. Five (5) years commercial or industrial sales experience required.
