Haworth's Internship Program:
Haworth has a formalized intern program where you are part of a group of cross functional interns learning about the entire scope of business with weekly knowledge series events. You will be paired with a senior level professional in your area of the business. You will have responsibility for specific projects with goals, daily tasks, attending meetings and providing departmental support.
We are currently looking for two paid Industrial Design Interns to join our Global Innovation team in summer 2020 in Holland, MI.
As an Industrial Design Intern, you will:
Join our Seating Design Studio or Systems Design Studio. You will participate in research and prototyping efforts. Work on sketching, idea generation, model making, rendering and CAD development. As a part of a holistic Industrial Design team, you will assist with establishing and evaluating design concepts for manufactured products.
Do you have these required qualifications?
IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION YOU MUST BE ABLE TO PRESENT A PORTFOLIO.
•College students working towards a bachelor's or master's degree in Industrial Design.
•GPA of at least a 3.0.
•Must be an active full-time student in the Fall of 2020 with at least Junior status.
•Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
•Able to work in Holland, Michigan without housing or relocation assistance.
Do you have these preferred qualifications?
•Sketch and rendering skills.
•Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
•Experience with Rhino, Fusion 360 or Solidworks.
•Experience with KeyShot or V-Ray.
•Experience with SketchUp.
•Hand model building experience.
Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:
•Excellent communication, coordination, research and implementation skills required.
•Ability to work with minimal supervision.
