Financial Planning and Analysis Manager
IMPACT and OPPORTUNITY
The FP & A Manager will have an impact on the organization by affectively delivering financial details and concepts to key stakeholders. This person will supply every operational department with revenue and expense targets and inspire them to stay on task. They will have the ability to influence decision making by using tangible data, combined with key metrics to deliver strong performance results.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Create and streamline financial planning and analysis processes
•Implement new operating mechanisms to ensure forecasting accuracy
•Define financial metrics & operating mechanisms across Gentherm
•Define company’s KPI’s
•Responsible for for monthly and weekly sales forecasting
•Forecasting Income Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow
•Prepare monthly total company reporting package
•Analyze monthly results compared to budget & prior year for business units
•Create various financial presentations (BoD, Analysts, etc.)
•Lead annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes
•Educate Management on process requirements.
•Validate accuracy of reports provided.
OTHER CORE FUNCTIONS
Preparation of key measurement reports
•Preparation of monthly budget and measurable package.
•Monthly/quarterly analytical review & reporting of information in comparison to budget and prior year.
•Coordinate reporting from various departments
Ensure timely and accurate variance analysis of budgets
•Work with BU Finance Managers to review monthly variances in detail to assist with the development of corrective actions and to communicate fluctuations.
•Research potential cost savings and recommend solutions/action plans.
•Set up and monitor various operational rates (i.e.: standard labor and overhead rates)
•Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
•Requires a bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Accounting or Finance
•Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Financial Manager / Analyst in a manufacturing environment
•Proficient with financial reports; analyzing and interpreting financial documents, reports, and accounting data; planning, organizing and coordinating work assignments; utilizing problem solving techniques; and maintaining effective working relationships with others, especially multicultural teams.
•Must demonstrate high ethical and professional standards including maintaining confidentiality of privileged company information.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•Working knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.
