DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Tenneco's Powertrain Division is looking for a Sales Manager thatwill be responsible for overall business activities associated with theirspecific business unit (customer or market). The Sales Manager is alsoresponsible for management and development of commercial and technical talentwithin the business unit as well as its profitability contribution to the group.This person will become a valued member of our Sealing & Gasket Sales team,where we strive to promote from within wherever possible; therefore,opportunities for advancement are strong.
An ideal candidate for this position is a candidate who possesses a Bachelor'sof Science degree in Engineering or Business and proven professional experiencein Sales. Excellent interpersonal skills, an ability to evaluate businessissues/prioritize activities and an ability to be self-directed are allnecessary qualifications for this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Determine whether appropriate resources are available, both equipment and personnel, to support the stated goals and objectives of the Sealing department.
•Program costing - work closely with plant controlling team to ensure costing is performed correctly and program profitability targets are met.
•Work with sales, applications, pricing, marketing, and administration group to develop a consistent strategy for the future.
•Develop/monitor annual budgets to meet the business plan goals and the requirement of the market.
•Travel as required to support the customer and to support/develop new opportunities.
REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:
•Bachelor's degree required. Engineering or Business degreepreferred.
SKILLS &EXPERIENCE:
•Minimum 6 plus years of experience working directly with OEaccounts.
•Basicunderstanding of research, development, and testing capabilities.
•Basicunderstanding of seal and gasket application (engine, transmission, wheel hub,axle, etc.)
