Job Summary
Flagstar Bank is seeking an individual to join our Special Loans department as a Senior Analyst.
This position is responsible for working directly with the staff and setting an example on how to work effectively.
* Knowledgeable in loan products: Due on Sale, Loan Re-amortization, Adjustable Rate Mortgages, Soldiers & Sailors, Partial Release, Due-On-Sale and Subordinations
* Work with management to provide adhoc and department reporting
* Communicate with customers with escalated issues both internally and externally and resolve timely
* Monitors department email boxes, task manager and people soft tickets within the department guidelines
* Maintain system maintenance to ensure data integrity regarding all Special Loan products to ensure service level agreements are met
* Work on assigned projects (individual and team) and participate in ongoing training sessions to improve department functions
Candidate should show initiative, be willing to interact with external and internal customers and have a passion for learning
Job Responsibilities:
* 20% of time Responsible for coaching and facilitating in the team daily task
* 20% of time Responsible for identifying areas for individual or team improvement, provide resources, huddles and one on one communication
* 15% of time Responsible for demonstrating proficiency while reconciling all reports
* 15% of time Responsible for ensuring the team work flow is prioritized and incorporate cross training on all job functions / participating in special projects
* 15% of time Responsible for creating and reviewing reports from Crystal, MSP and Passport for data accuracy and possible issue trends. Make corrections when necessary to comply with documented guidelines
* 15% of time Responsible for ensuring exceptions are researched and resolved within the time frame set by the department guidelines
* Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Completes all required compliance training. Maintains knowledge of and adhere to Flagstar's internal compliance policies and procedures. Takes responsibility to keep up to date with changing regulations and policies.
Job Requirements:
* HS Diploma, GED or Foreign Equivalent
* 3-5 years mortgage servicing, banking or equivalent work experience
* Black Knight Mortgage Servicing Platform preferred
* Audit minded, team building skills, supervisory experience with minimum staff level of three, Microsoft excel, access, power-point intermediate level, ability to perform v-lookup
* Demonstrate the ability to collaborate successfully with cross functional teams
