Description
The Materials 3(Warehouse Support) position is responsible for ensuring that all extrusions are received, stored and distributed properly. The Materials 3(Warehouse Support) position is responsible for distribution of materials to picking and packing teams. This includes locating, transferring and disposition of material to and from stock and WIP locations throughout the building. Proper inventory transactions and tracking are required. The Materials 3(Warehouse Support) position is also responsible for maintaining the extrusion receiving dock, including organizing and loading outgoing cradles as well as unloading and verification of product when required.
The Materials team wears required PPE: safety glasses, steel toe shoes, gloves, ear plugs and hard hats as needed. The team works safely to ensure that employees do not incur bodily harm. The team uses care and respect to ensure that equipment and/or property is not damaged. The team works together to keep the Materials area clean.
Materials 3(Warehouse Support)
•Perform all duties as described in Standard Operating Procedures and Detailed Job Instructions.
•Ensure warehouse team has material required for daily shipments.
•Identify and return material to appropriate storage locations as required.
•Maintain inventory control and inventory accuracy for all parts in assigned areas.
•Must have a valid Hilo and sideloader license, or have the ability to obtain and retain one.
•Load and unload trailers.
•Occasionally Process incoming material.
•Verify profile, color and quantity of all incoming extrusions against receiving paperwork.
•Record and report discrepancies.
•Help resolve issues regarding incorrect receipt or distribution of material.
•Distribute incoming material to correct locations using powered industrial vehicles.
•Restock storage areas.
•Assist with incidental packing, shipping and receiving.
•Ensure proper storage and record control in the warehouse.
•Assist other areas as required.
Requirements
•High school diploma or equivalent
•Ability to read and interpret Work Orders and Standard Operating Procedures
•Basic math skills
•Ability to obtain a power industrial equipment permit
•Strong attention to detail
•Strong communication skills
•Previous Materials, shipping, distribution or receiving experience
•Excellent demonstrated attendance and dependability
•Ability to work flexible hours to meet customer demands
•Ability to walk for minimum of 8 hours
•Ability to frequently move product up to 75 pounds
•Ability to frequently bend, lift, push, pull, and twist while carrying product
