The Customer Account Lead I (CAL I) will develop and implement a strategic business plan with Meijer to maximize Return on Net Sales (RNS) within SPC guidance focusing on distribution, shelving, merchandising, pricing and supply objectives. In this CAL I role on the Meijer team you will have the autonomy to build and execute your own plan in partnership with Meijer to drive towards a JBP (Joint Business Plan Growth Objective). This CAL I role requires strong General Management skills and provides the opportunity to interact with all multiple levels of Meijer's leadership team. You'll also work closely with the Meijer planning and category management teams as well as engage in best practices sharing across the Meijer field team. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES * Develop, execute, and deliver strategic customer business plans to meet or exceed RNS Growth objectives * Understand General Mills supply and demand strategies to incorporate into business plan * Identify Customer Strategies to incorporate General Mills strategies and develop business plans * Conduct ongoing performance analysis to adjust strategies and execution as necessary * Maintain up to date and accurate planning and spending information in Trade Planner; Adhere to all GMI policies and procedures (i.e. trade funding, unsaleables policy, etc.) * Develop and maintain excellent customer relationships * Penetrate and develop relationships across all functions of the customer * Develop and maintain customer rapport by understanding customer expectations and General Mills capabilities to meet those needs * Work with customer service to address existing problems and to develop service plans and capabilities * Deliver distribution, shelving, merchandising, and pricing objectives * Maintain strong distribution to maximize RNS * Gain new product acceptance, visibility and merchandising levels in line with assigned priorities * Institute shelving efforts that are in accordance with category management principles that benefit General Mills and the account. Overall GMI share of shelf commensurate (at minimum) with share of market * Create merchandising offers which meet strategies of account and result in the most optimum use of resources within GMI operating guidelines * Incorporate supply side strategies with customer when prudent * Bachelor's degree required * 2 years' experience #cb.
