POSITION:
As a Manufacturing Integration Engineer (MIE), you will be the technical manager for a given development and responsible for the overall manufacturing concept and development for internal and external resources. We will be looking to you to drive seamless communication between engineering and manufacturing. This role is significant in all phases of the Product Development Process, but heaviest at during concept, feasibility and costing, and again in later phases when integration, debug, R@R and launch is concerned.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Manufacturing Feasibility assessment with unbiased feedback to assure the most robust process possible * Economic thinking to assure the right process in the right place at the right time growth mindset * Enforces adherence to design standards and participates in developing standards where they do not exist today * Acts as the Technical Project Manager from the design center in partner with the overall project manager * Is the primary liaison between the manufacturing plant and engineering design center and has responsible for escalation and communication at the earliest point of necessity * Partner with plant PE, procurement and suppliers on technical advancements and benchmark alternative solutions * Facilitate, coordinate and develop documentation throughout the PDP process * Driving best practice across our multiple manufacturing plants globally

Molex History: Position Qualifications REQUIRED: * A Bachelor s degree or higher in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or equivalent * A minimum of 5 years experience developing processes around high speed stamping processing and/or automation systems that involve terminals handling. * Experience working with cleanliness requirements related to electronics, specifically in stamping and plating environments which includes washing * Experience with manufacturing process development for connector products
PREFERRED: * Master s Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering * 10+ years hands on experience in developing manufacturing processes around terminal manufacturing * Understanding of terminal designs including contact geometries and impacts on mating force * Experience working with contact lubrications and or die lubrications to enhance stamping processes * High speed inspection technologies including vision and contact / non-contact applications * Understanding of standard and precious plating s * History in or working with detail manufacturing technologies (tool room experience) with ferrous and non-ferrous metal machining and their applications
