JOB DESCRIPTION WNEM, a Meredith Corporation TV station, is recruiting for a Promotion Producer. The successful candidate will write, shoot, edit, produce, direct and creatively execute news promos, commercials, station campaigns and marketing projects. The Promotion Producer will work with the Creative Services Director through the process of executing promos, graphic elements, behind-the-scenes promos and vignettes, and a wide variety of on-air deliverables. Interacts with external and internal customers, including clients, account executives and news department. Livestream content/events, create and send out alerts on all digital platforms. Essential Job Functions: 65% - Write, shoot, edit, produce, direct and creatively execute news promos, commercials, station campaigns and marketing projects, as well as news immage or partnership prmotion, to be used on air and online. 15% - Collaborates with news department on promotable stories and on-air deliverables. 10% - Assist in producing local specials. 5% - Assist in the development and implementation of social media strategies to increase viewership. 5% - Other duties assigned in the Creative Services Department. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements (All must be met to be considered): Education:Completion of high school or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in Communications/Journalism preferred. Experience:Minimum 2 years' experience in broadcast producing/editing/photography. Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong writing and producing skills. Knowledge of production process including non-linear editing, videography, I-News newsroom computer system and Adobe Creative Suite. Proven track record as innovative creative thinker with understanding of marketing concepts with regard to targeting audiences. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to interact professionally at all times with internal and external customers.
