Financial Analyst - 190000CT
DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Financial Analyst will assist the Manager, North America Truck, Finance Operations, in the overall administration and strategic direction of the North America Truck business unit. This employee will provide timely and meaningful financial analysis regarding all aspects of the business unit with a focus on driving process improvements through advancing analytics, Rear Drivetrain P&L management, business case development, and customer quoting. This position will also assist tracking and communicating progress on long-term strategic initiatives, including, joint ventures results, process improvements, and other projects as required.
Job Responsibilities:
* Develop strong relationships with functional business partners to open a clear communication to improve financial accuracy
* Assist in managing the Rear Drivetrain P&L and provide meaningful analysis on sequential results and long-term forecasting
* Integral in the development of all full year forecasts and development of the annual AOP by acting as a key player to communicate functional targets, timelines, and deliverables to the business leaders and plant locations
* Identify and drive process improvements by implementing better analytics
* Work closely with Rear Drivetrain Business Team on initiatives to improve margin and financial impacts of long-term strategies
* Manage and monitor joint venture relationship in Mexico including analysis of operational results
* Support Rear Drivetrain Operations Management with meaningful analysis of plant operating costs, including monthly, quarterly, and year-to-date tracking of labor and burden savings against planned programs
* Support pricing analysis for customer RFQ’s and RFI’s and ensure strategy aligns with long-term objectives
* Track, monitor and communicate progress on long-term strategic initiatives (M2022)
* Assist with special projects, corporate requirements, and ad hoc reporting as required
* Present financial and project results to business unit and finance leadership
