TRC is seeking a Sustainability Analyst for its Ann Arbor, MI office to be part of growing our corporate sustainability team. We are looking for a motivated and sustainability-focused individual to assist in the expansion of our efforts and goals. The Sustainability Analyst will be working directly with the Director of Sustainability.
Job Responsibilities:
•Provide analytical and tactical support for company sustainability initiatives with data-related needs and assist in developing an overall strategy for the collection, analysis, management, and communication of sustainability data and metrics.
•Create dashboards that demonstrate sustainability performance, records management and activities to assure performance traceability.
•Work with the multi-sector teams to develop protocols, templates and tools to assure consistency and transparency of results.
•Assist with Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), CDP, and other reporting data collection and support the tracking and verification of report metrics and back-up materials.
•Assist with internal and external stakeholder engagement efforts.
•Support internal and external website communications.
Requirements
•Bachelor's degree in science, sustainability, or other engineering, science or math related major; Master's degree related to sustainability, corporate responsibility, corporate social responsibility, environment, social, or governance disciplines highly desired.
•Data-driven self-starter who demonstrates strong analytical, problem solving, strategic thinking, and project management skills.
•Experience in computer science, engineering, finance, or business related field preferred; including experience working with energy and/or sustainability metrics.
•Knowledge or experience building dashboards with ability to evaluate business needs and to translate them into technology specifications.
•Strong written communications skills. Prior success working with a team or group on a project. Demonstrates ability to multi-task and stay organized.
•Personal commitment to sustainability.
•Independent thinker, strong communicator, and self-motivated. Time management skills and attention to detail are essential.
•Ability to work with Excel, Access, Power BI and/or other technical tools to build reports, databases and dashboards.
