The General Assembly Commodities Chassis Specialist is responsible for managing a commodities group specializing in Chassis department activities. The person in this role coordinates the activities in front and rear suspension subassemblies (or pay as built), chassis decking, A/C, drive trains, exhaust, wheel/tire and engine line by working closely with the ME technologies group, product engineering and the assembly plants. The Specialist will understand and share knowledge of ME and product standards with the assembly plants and ensure compliance. This position coordinates meeting across the assembly plant to share best practices and make recommendation to improve both product and ME standards.
Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering OR other Bachelor’s degree combined with an MBA
•10+ years of related work experience in general assembly
•5+ years of experience as a supervisor/leader
•Knowledge of manufacturing processes
•Excellent organization and communication skills
•Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint and/or Google Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
•Master of Business Administration
