The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining stable and capable production/business processes as they pertain to equipment, facilities and tooling functionality following the WCM (World Class Manufacturing) model. The Manufacturing Engineer is required to maintain both machine/equipment capabilities as they relate to safety, throughput, quality, equipment integrity, and for monitoring/correcting related issues of assembly. This is a salary bargaining unit position.
Basic Qualifications
•Bachelor of Science Mechanical Engineering or equivalent BS in a related technical discipline (e.g. Mathematics, Physics)
•Strong computer skills must be proficient in MS-Office, Auto-CAD
•2 or more years manufacturing experience in automotive assembly
Preferred Qualifications
•Advanced degree
•Possess strong problem solving skills (SPC, DOE, Kaizen, and root cause analysis)
•Knowledgeable in areas of mistake proofing and problem solving techniques (MQP process, SPC, PFMEA, and FMEAC, part print reading, GDT tolerances)
