The Integrity Responsible (IR) Engineer is responsible for leading and coordinating design integrity. The assignment is for Interior HVAC Systems which includes compressors, HVAC modules, HVAC lines, ducts and outlets. The IR Engineer uses CAD (NX and Vis Mockup) and is responsible for interrogating geometry. The IR Engineer drives synthesis of interior HVAC systems with interfacing parts, provides solutions and improvements to design issues and assures best practices are incorporated. He/she collaborates with the releasing engineer to assure geometry is validated prior to corporate release and tool kick-off and communicates project status to senior engineering managers at regular intervals.
Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited or equivalent program
•Five years of relevant experience
•Experience in design and release
•Strong written and oral communication skills
•Self-starter with strong leadership skills
•Demonstrated problem solving ability
•Working knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter or equivalent tool
•Google Suite skills
•Microsoft Office skills
Preferred Qualifications:
•Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) Green Belt/Black Belt
•Experience with Vis Mockup
•Knowledgeable in regards to steels, weld parameters, stamping process and feasibility
•Knowledgeable in regards to injection mold tool feasibility
•Knowledgeable in regards electro mechanical components
•Knowledgeable in regards to trim components
•Experience with vehicle occupant and component packaging
