The Manufacturing Human Resources Generalist is responsible for hourly and salary employment administration, onboarding and orientation of the workforce, workforce analysis, training and development, attendance control, administration and discipline assessment, EEOC, and other workplace investigations in a manufacturing plant setting. The Manufacturing Human Resources Generalist will also be responsible for some administration of the national and local collective bargaining agreements, grievance handling and talent management. This position is heavily involved in World Class Manufacturing activities. This role requires availability to work variable shifts, including weekends.
Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree
•Minimum 2 years of HR Generalist, manufacturing or supervisory experience
•Highly proficient in Microsoft Office
•Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
•Experience leading projects or teams
•Strong follow-up skills
•Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
•Exceptional oral and written communications skills
Preferred Qualifications:
•Advanced degree with concentrations in Human Resources or Industrial Relations
•Experience as an HR Generalist in an industrial setting
•Labor relations and employment experience
•Knowledge of Human Resources information systems
•Knowledge of World Class Logistics methodologies
•Ability to interact with all levels of management and union officials to accomplish goals
