Department Summary
As a Customer Energy Management Intern you will be exposed to the various departments within CEM including but not limited to design and support functions. Additionally, you will be partnered with other Interns to support CEM through a dedicated departmental project assignment through the duration of your internship. In addition to working alongside the Customer Energy Management Organization, interns will have the opportunity to participate in a number of optional events within the program. This includes Intern networking events, company tours, and the consistently top-ranked philanthropic event, the Intern Challenge.
Job Description/Responsibilities
As a CEM summer Intern, you will be exposed to the various departments within CEM including but not limited to design and support functions. The CEM Summer Intern position offers a 12 week rotational experience within the Customer Energy Management Organization.
Requirements/Qualifications
•Must be currently enrolled and actively pursuing an associate's or bachelor's degree in a technical or business field. Focus in Project Management, Graphic Arts, IT, Digital Media, Communications, Marketing/Advertising, Engineering or related field.
•A valid driver's license
•Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

•Possess business acumen
•SAP Knowledge
•Be a regular user of Microsoft office suite software
•Have taken computer aided design courses and/or be familiar with MicroStation
•Have mechanical or technical aptitude
•Have the ability to read and interpret construction drawings
•Be a self-starter that can work independently or in teams
•Have prior customer service experience
•Have a good driving record
There will be 10 positions available statewide. The primary location of this internship will be determined by the selected candidates preference.

Essential Functions-
Utilize company tools (SAP, Micro station, Office, etc.) to coordinate work order preparation and procurement of all equipment and materials required for completion of project. Manage project milestones including customer prerequisites to enable project completion on customer timelines. Project milestones include, but are not limited to, easements, customer billing and payments, contracts, designs, inspections, site readiness, tree trimming, permits, and coordination/maintenance/communication of project dates with internal departments.
Hours and Travel
This position normally requires the individual work up to 40 hours per week during summer internship including both field and office work. There may be statewide travel/driving required which may require the use of a personal vehicle.
In specific relation to the CEM Summer Intern position, hours and schedule may vary weekly depending on intern rotation.
