Full-time Resource/Job Development Specialist targeting Central Upper Peninsula. Position is based out of Marquette, MI. Frequent travel between counties will be required, strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, communication skills and the ability to work with Offender Success (OS) specific population is required for this position. Ability to work independently and as part of a team desired. Wage commensurate with experience.
The Resource / Job Development Specialist’s primary responsibility is assuring counties have adequate services, leveraged and OS funded, to meet the assessed and PPA requested needs of returning parolees under the four (4) service categories as defined by MDOC Offender Success Service Parameters.
Working collaboratively with the Project Manager, Community Coordinator, Job Placement Specialists, Program Accountant, Parole Agents, parolees, OS Management, and Offender Success Steering Team to carry out the purpose and duties as outlined above.
Candidates must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree. Knowledge & experience related to Corrections and Criminal Justice desired but not necessary. Minimum four (4) years’ experience in program development and management, or related field. Must pass background checks.
