Position Title: Leather Launch System Analyst
Department: Leather Division Operations
Reports to: LDO Director of Program Management
Education: Bachelor's degree required--engineering, information technology, or business management preferred.
Experience: Automotive experience required--interior trim experience preferred.
Position Summary:
This position will support Leather Division program management and launch activities utilizing prescribed systems, processes, and procedures. The individual will serve as the intermediary between the program management and launch teams facilitating effective flow of information to ensure successful execution of critical project plans. The individual will support control of information within program management and launch databases. The individual will contribute to assessment of region-specific activities and tools with the goal of identifying opportunities for improvement leading to common best practices for the program management and launch organization.
Key Responsibilities
•Key interface between LDO program management/launch, operations, and commercial teams
•Supports effective flow of information to ensure successful execution of critical project plans.
•Participates in NA APQP meetings and monthly launch reviews to provide first line problem identification and escalation.
•Supports balanced and judicious planning and use of available resources required to support program activities.
•Supports closure of program deliverables.
•Supports preparation of reports as required by organizational norms and expectations.
•Effectively support management of internal and external customer relationships
•Supports communication of processes, policies, procedures, expectations, and outcomes relevant to customer transactions between program management/launch, operations, and commercial teams.
•Proactively identifies, communicates, and/or escalates conflicts/problems to drive expedient resolution.
•Support group, division, and company objectives within defined span of control
•Works alongside Lear colleagues to support pre-planning of activities leading into material availability, timeline commitments and customer communication. Bridges communication between Program Management, Launch, operations, and other Lear teams.
•Supports development of synergies between Lear divisions (LDO, Trim, JIT, etc.).
•Supports assessment of regional activities and tools to identify opportunities for improvement.
•Project & Launch Management Project Support
•Maintenance and improvement of leather program management and launch systems. This role represents the launch team requirements and also serves as one of the stakeholders for how the system will be laid out, operated, maintained, and improved.
•Supports PM system training activities ensuring documents are developed, maintained, and effectively communicated.
•TS Audit support
•Supports program teams and plants to ensure fidelity of supporting documentation required for closure of program deliverables. Ensures processes are completed properly and required documents are completed and stored as required.
