Job Summary
Assists with all aspects of requirements gathering and analysis, application development, and testing. This individual will provide input and recommendations on development tools and participate in the design, development, testing, and implementation of application software. The Developer will provide support for production application environment level 2 issues, participate on projects, and create ap- plication code. Work is self-directed. Assignments are received in the form of results expected; within operating policies and procedures. Incumbent has the discretion to select from alternative approach-es; decisions may involve changes to normal work processes. No supervisory responsibilities.
Key Accountabilities
•Develops application code, queries, scripts, web pages, and develops and executes unit tests.
•Designs reusable application components.
•Participates in the design, development, deployment and level 2 & 3 support of applications.
•Provides planning and time estimates for own assignments.
•Keeps abreast of technology trends and DTE Energy strategies, standards, and guidelines in order to select technologies that are appropriate and cost beneficial and applies each to ITS operating procedures.
•Mentors Associate Developer; perform code reviews, explain technical concepts, and pair pro-gramming.
•Participates in system, unit, integration, and regression testing.
•Assists and develops formal presentations; conducts informal presentations.
•Works on multiple teams in a collaborative environment.
•Creates/ prepares design documentations (UML Diagrams, environmental configuration).
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
•Bachelor's degree & 2 years of experience
•OR an Associate's degree or Developer certification (equivalent to 2 years) & 4 years of experience
•OR a high school diploma or GED and 6 years of experience in application development and design components.

•Experience using most current program development technologies (i.e Oracle, Java)

•Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills and ability to recommend and participate in solution implementation in area of responsibility.
•Demonstrated strong organizational skills and good oral/written presentation skills.
•Demonstrated knowledge of SDP and other DTE IT methodologies.
•Broad understanding of IT industry, i.e emerging technologies, industry standards, support services, architectures, systems design, systems integration, and an indepth knowledge of accepted IT processes.
•Demonstrated ability to be self-directed.
•Demonstrated ability to work on multiple teams concurrently
