For over 20 years, Eisenhower Center has been a leader in providing post-acute brain injury rehabilitation services and supported living for individuals with acquired or traumatic brain injury (ABI/TBI), catastrophic injuries, and severe mental illness. Many of those we serve struggle with cognitive deficits (e.g., memory concentration, impulsivity), physical impairments/medical complications, chronic pain, chronic sleep disturbance, and maladaptive behaviors and disinhibition. Roughly a quarter of those we serve struggle with addiction and have dual diagnosis.
Qualifications
•
Fully Licensed Psychologists who completed a least one year of post-doctoral training. Psychologists must have graduated from an APA Accredited program. Completion of an APA Accredited Internship is preferred but not required.
•
Fully Licensed Masters Social Workers (Clinical or Clinical and Macro) with a degree from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
•
Limited License Psychologists with at least two years of clinical experience as an LLP.
•
Must be licensed to practice in the state of Michigan and have a valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
•
Apply a wide range of professional psychological treatments or assessment methods to a variety of populations. Applicants who have specializations, certifications, or extensive experience in treating chronic pain, addiction, and/or traumatic brain injury are encouraged to apply.

In addition, highly desired applicants have the following:

Extensive experience in providing group psychotherapy.
•
Demonstrated proficiency in the provision of evidence based treatments for various mental health conditions.
•
Significant experience in addiction treatment.
•
Design and implement effective treatment strategies/plans and incorporate various clinical techniques/approaches in order to meet client needs and goals.
•
Utilize basic self-report assessment measures for both research purposes and to inform treatment, diagnosis, and discharge recommendations.
•
Provide professional and clinical advice and consultation in areas related to professional psychology and behavioral health. Must routinely consult and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and externals (e.g., case managers, guardians, etc.).
•
Utilize best practices and evidence-informed treatment. Critically consuming current research/literature to inform treatment is an expectation of clinical practice in general; However, ideal candidates must demonstrate a genuine interest in and desire to stay informed/educated and seek out learning opportunities in order to expand upon their knowledge and skillset.
