Required Skills, Education, Experience:
Operates production equipment; responsible for manufacturing and assembly of clinical and commercial products. Follows blueprints, guidelines and/or diagrams to ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are met. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 0-3 years of related experience. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor.
Preferred Skills, Education, Experience:
A hands-on lab-based position that utilizes equipment, software and hardware to setup and run tests that evaluate and/or validate seating products for use. This position ensures that these tests are conducted safely, efficiently, correctly, and in accordance to published and/or provided specifications and requirements.
Specific Duties:
Conduct the mechanical and instrumentation setup and teardown for sled tests.
Perform sled tests per customer and/or Federal test specifications.
Usage of Falcon video analysis software
Usage of Data acquisition system to collect test data.
Responsible for test instrumentation set-up, calibration, and usage. Instrumentation may include accelerometers, strain gages, load cells, string potentiometers, angle rate sensors, gyros and digital cameras.
Must Haves:
Proficient with hand tools (please know the difference between SAE and Metric)
Basic computer skills (Excel, and word)
Light maintenance (Mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic)
Some fabrication experience (Drill, Weld, and cut)
Ability to lift 50lbs.
5S and keeping a clean work environment.
Like to have:
Dummy positioning.
Dummy repair.
Airbag and pyrotechnic handling
Instrumentation installation (Accelerometers, load cells, Strain gauges, Angle rate sensors, and String pots.)
