About this Opportunity
Herman Millers Summer Internship Program is a paid, 12-week opportunity that provides a 100% real-world experience for students early in their career. Throughout the summer you will apply academic learning to real-world situations and cultivate leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. As a Content Strategy Intern, youll help ensure our website content is aligned with the customer journey and supports business objectives.
On a day-to-day basis, youll be interacting with other teams within adjacent disciplines, including User Experience Researchers, Design Teams, Editorial Writers, and Marketing partners to help craft content that serves our audiences, achieves our business goals, and improves the functionality of our digital experiences.
What Youll Do
Youll have opportunities to speak up, solve problems, influence others, and be an owner every day as you... * Coordinate between user researchers, designers, and content creators to help our digital platforms deliver the right content, in the right format, to support our customers journeys. * Conceptualize large amounts of information and communicate findings. * Help evolve content strategy toolkits and methods that enable planning and the production of web content across a variety of platforms and brands. * Work directly on projects with a variety of business partners, including Digital Design, Editorial, Project Management, and Digital Marketing. * Learn the processes and objectives of Digital Designers, Product Marketing, and Editorial as you execute on a unified strategy. * Work with a cross-functional team to complete an intern project. * Gain on-the-job work experience aligned with your career goals. * Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve our goals.
Sound Like You?
You might be just who were looking for if you are... * Able to think critically about large amounts of information and synthesize findings. * A strong written and verbal communicator. * Able to develop presentations and meetings. * Enrolled and pursuing a four-year Bachelors degree in Literature, Creative Writing, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Design, or another related field from an accredited college or university, and able to provide transcripts upon request. Youll need a GPA of at least a 3.0 (cumulative or within your major) to qualify for consideration. * Satisfactorily finished with the basic coursework in your chosen degree program. * In favorable academic standing within your current academic program. * Authorized to work in the United States. * Able to perform all essential responsibilities of the position with or without accommodations.
Experience with the following is a plus: information architecture, content management systems, and design software such as Figma/Sketch/Adobe Creative Suite.
