Core Responsibilities: * Performs skilled machining operations, including, milling, drilling, boring, sawing, tapping, Blanchard and Surface grinding, belt sanding to extremely close tolerances according to customer specifications. * Sets up and operates a broad range of machines including CNC Mills, & lathes. * Interfaces with toolmakers, engineers, program managers and quality personnel to resolve problems and ensure that parts are manufactured to customer specifications. * Uses all types of inspection and measuring devices to check and verify tooling and parts. * Uses and interprets complicated prints, drawings and process sheets to perform a variety of layouts. * Benching/prepping of parts before and after grinding for following operations Qualifications: * Experience operating CNC machines, setting up fixtures, loading programs, machining and inspecting parts des * Must have the ability to read G & M codes. * Must have experience using a wide variety of hand and power tools including grinders, saws, drill presses, milling machines, and lathes. * Must have experience with a wide variety of measuring and inspection devices including micrometers & vernier scales. * Must be able to pay exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively under deadline pressures and complete assignments accurately and on time. * Must have experience in interpreting all types of engineering drawings and documents. * Must have experience on manual machines. * Education Requirements: * High School diploma required. * CNC Certification Preferred At Barnes Group Inc, career development is a shared responsibility in which all employees are encouraged to develop, improve, and enhance their skills and professional growth to support Barnes Group Inc. business objectives.
