L’Anse Manufacturing, Inc. (LMI), a diverse manufacturing and engineering company, seeks a Cost Estimation & Project Manager in L’Anse, Michigan, located in Michigan’s pristine Upper Peninsula.
As our LMI Cost Estimation & Project Manager, you help develop and implement all costing standards and procedures for the organization, under the supervision of the Operations Manager. You work collaboratively with customers, vendors and staff to deliver exceptional service, prepare accurate and consistent cost estimates by calculating material/labor costs and allocation of overhead, and analyze engineering/manufacturing requirements to develop processing methods and procedures. The Cost Estimation & Project Manager maintains job shop software, CAD drawings and other data.
COMPENSATION/BENEFITS. $40,000 - $50,000 starting annual salary in addition to a comprehensive package of benefits including health, dental, prescription drug and vision coverage; a flexible spending plan, SEP retirement plan, paid vacation days, flexible work hours and opportunity for advancement.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED AS THE COST ESTIMATION MANAGER.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or Manufacturing Processes preferred.
- 3 years’ experience working in a manufacturing operations environment with experience in purchasing, estimating and quality control, required.
- 5+ years in a progressively responsible position in a manufacturing environment, desired.
- Strong background in project management, required; Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, a bonus.
- Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Excel and CAD software, required.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills, required.
- Knowledge of E2 or other job shop software, preferred.
- Willingness and ability to travel, as required.
