The engineer will evaluate new engine hardware and technology for future applications. The candidate will analyze, plan, and solve complex system problems as they relate to calibration development and manipulate and utilize large and complex sets of data. He/She will actively participate in the development of standard hardware and calibration development processes and procedures. Calibration Engineers will plan and coordinate day to day activities including interaction with technicians and support engineers. He/She will participate in meetings with management, product design, and systems teams and present summaries and detailed reports on specific assignments such as timing projections. This position combines multiple engineering disciplines to develop hardware and calibrate the engine management system of engines produced by the company.
Validation Engineer
The engineer is responsible for working with dynamometer and vehicle calibration, OBD, and System Engineering to insure a robust misfire plan is developed and all engines are tested to the plan and pass prior to production. The Engineer will document and deliver defined results on all testing activities.
Electrified Powertrain Validation Engineer
The engineer is responsible for working with dynamometer and vehicle calibration, OBD, and System Engineering to insure a robust misfire plan is developed and all engines are tested to the plan and pass prior to production. The Engineer will document and deliver defined results on all testing activities.
Electric Motor Control & Calibration Engineer
The engineer is responsible to develop, implement, and test electric motor control features for AC electric motors used in various electrified vehicles. The successful candidate will be an excellent innovator and problem solver and have expertise in electric motor simulation, calibration, dynamometer testing, parameter identification and a good understanding of control theory.
Embedded Software Engineer
The engineer will be responsible for participating in a team of engineers. He/She are responsible for the development of software for engine and transmission control modules. The Powertrain Embedded Software Engineer will perform software requirements analysis, design, coding, test plan creation, and testing for powertrain control features. The engineer will perform reviews and/or inspections for requirements, design documents, Simulink Models, C/C++/assembly code, and test plans. The candidate will create Target Link Models and interact with other department/vendors on eliciting requirements.
Controls Development Engineer
The Controls Development engineer will be responsible for working within a team of controls, calibrations and integration engineers to develop electrified powertrain systems for current/next-generation powertrains for FCA vehicles. The overall goal for the team is to develop a complete electrified powertrain that meets the vehicle functional requirements for fuel economy, emissions, drivability, and diagnostics. The ideal candidate, who is a strong team player and willing to work in a fast-paced environment, will have experience in modern and classical control strategies with a powertrain subsystem application (engine, transmission, electric motors, etc.). The Engineer will be a system focused and have interdisciplinary experience. The successful candidate must be able to significantly contribute to the development of hybrid operating strategies, powertrain control, optimization strategies (torque characterization, engine/transmission interactions, start/stop, shifting and hydraulics, regenerative braking etc.), fuel efficiency, and drivability.
Power Electronics Hardware Design Release Engineer
This team is responsible for the design and development of electric vehicle power electronics and electrified vehicle systems and devices for passenger cars and trucks.
