Programmer/Analyst III – UI/UX Designer
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for providing user experience flows and user interface designs and direction for web and mobile applications.
School Education:
Bachelor’s Level Degree
Job Experience:
Five (5) years
Responsibilities and Essential Duties:
•Be a passionate advocate for the user and user-centered design within the enterprise
•Create prototypes, wireframes and high-fidelity designs for both web and mobile applications
•Work closely with mobile and web development teams to provide high fidelity designs ahead of sprint needs
•Provide atomic application design components for use throughout application anatomies
•Be comfortable working in an agile/Scrum development environment
•Stay up-to-date with current and evolving design patterns
•Implement Design Thinking into design sprints
•Work closely with and guide efforts of external design partners
•Lead stakeholder workshops to understand product goals and challenges, as well as to help define and prioritize feature backlogs
•Craft and validate user personas
•Design to accessibility standards and provide guidance to development teams
•Present and defend design decisions at sprint reviews and key project milestones to stakeholders
•Employ tactics like card sorting and tree testing to build and test information architectures
Knowledge, Skills Abilities:
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must have strong organizational, prioritization, analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be detail oriented and have strong project/time management and research skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365. Ability to interact with management. Ability to travel up to 10% based upon department and customer needs.
