About this Opportunity
As a Portfolio Strategic Development Lead, you'll collect portfolio growth opportunities uncovered in all areas and levels of the business. You will uncover new opportunities through a rigorous and ongoing combination of current and adjacent marketplace, competitive moves, and macro-economic trends. You'll vet opportunities with Corporate Strategy Teams and internal Business and Product leadership, and build comprehensive business plans for the highest priority strategic opportunities. You will sort and prioritize opportunities based upon on scale, adjacency, distribution, risk, and other criteria. You'll present plans to executive leadership for approvals or retirement, and then hand over approved opportunities to dedicated Program Leads for the start-up stage.

* Build business plans for new opportunities and vet product, marketing, and commercial costs and risks with internal peers.
* Build ongoing relationships across the global Commercial, product, and General Business leadership to continually uncover high growth or emergent opportunities that can provide significant value to the enterprise.
* Build a significant external network of futurist, tech, business, and other experts. You will use this network to uncover both a near and far away portfolio opportunities.
* Build significant insights into new customer segments through research and your network.
* Identify and evaluate potential business opportunities by articulating the unmet need, the ways to fill that need, and the cost of doing so.
* Develop new go-to-market models when appropriate.
* Collaborate and influence across functions to gain alignment on business plans.
* Partner with assigned HGEP Program Leads to affect the hand-over of approved programs, including: refining plans and establishing program deliverables and schedules.
* Participate in the establishment of program metrics and ROI.
* Partner with Global Product and Strategic Teams, ensuring new portfolio efforts are aligned to the overall corporate strategy.
* Prioritize multiple plans to highlight the most relevant and significant.
* Present compelling proposals to senior leadership as investment opportunities for achieving strategic growth.
* Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

You might be just who we're looking for if you have...
* A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Design, or another relevant field.
* Ten years of experience in a commercial or product leadership role.
* Five years of project leadership experience, global experience is preferred.
* Significant experience in new business, new product, and category development.
* The ability to work cross-functionally across the business and geographies.
* A drive to achieve results and project success.
* The ability to be agile, flexible, adaptable, and to respond to changing circumstances and requirements.
* The ability to recognize the need and put in place external partner support to support project goals and objectives.
* A consultative approach with experience introducing and advocating for innovative ideas across the organization.
* Excellent problem-solving skills.
* The ability to investigate and analyze complex data and to generate new ideas and solutions to resolve problems quickly and efficiently.
* The ability to exercise independent judgment.
* An ability to 'read the room," manage up, down, and sideways, and communicate information, ideas, procedures, and processes in a logical sequence and at a level appropriate to the audience.
* The ability to work collaboratively and to teach, coach, monitor, and influence key stakeholders at various levels of the organization (i.e., employees, visitors, and vendors).
* Expert relationship building skills in all environments at all levels of the organization and the ability to build long-term relationships with stakeholders.
* Financial literacy with strong overall business acumen.
