This position is based in Grand Haven, Michigan, on our creative services team.
Who You Are
We seek a talented Digital Designer who has tenured experience in delivering outstanding digital,
and social media creative. You must have in-depth skills in executing successful creative unique to Instagram, Facebook, and other social media channels - using all ad-type formats that drive both engagement and sales. You are a thought leader with strong conceptual and rational capabilities.
The ideal candidate excels at ideation, storytelling and executing integrated, cross-platform tactics and assets using customer data, insights and marketing briefs. You are practiced in shaping the right message along side the copywriter - knowing how best to articulate the value prop for the audience.
You continually raise the bar with your compositions and layouts - implementing digital best practices, as well as brand and program standards. Being a highly motivated, self-directed person who can thrive in a deadline-driven atmosphere is a must. The abilities to manage multiple projects, work efficiently with an acute attention to detail, and communicate effectively with key stakeholders are essential. You are flexible and able to seamlessly work with shifting priorities and ambiguity. You want to be part of a close-knit, highly engaged team who values collaboration and shares a quest for creative excellence.
Responsibilities
* Concept and design campaign assets for digital and social media platforms;
both static and animated.
* Create storyboards, mood and vision boards and sell in ideas.
* Provide creative rationales to explain your process and design choices.
* Keep up to date and share out on trends in: pop culture, books and author platforms, digital technology and design
Basic Qualifications
* At least 3+ years of digital visual design experience.
* A portfolio demonstrating elevated visual design skills, including an eye for color, composition, layout and typography
* Works in visual design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
* Bachelor's degree
