Position Description:
•The IT Specialist will assume overall ownership for assigned IT Project and initiatives
•Work with Business Analyst, Business Stakeholders, Architects, etc to understand and define requirements
•Clearly define all project stakeholders (Business, Technical, SME, Testers, etc)
Serve as the Project Managers guide and first line of escalation on risk, issues and/or stakeholder responsiveness
•In coordination with the IT Project Manager, the IT Specialist will assume overall ownership for assigned IT Projects and initiatives including, but not limited to the following responsibilities
•Validate Project requirements are clearly defined, scoped and budgeted
•Ensure there is a balance on business needs and IT supportability
•Oversee management of the project teams, establishing and managing effective partnerships with project partners and key stakeholders
•Responsible for reporting to management on financial and operational progress
•Ensuring effective end user training needs and production support hand off occur
•Ownership of IT processes as assigned
Drive Mobile Application Development Intiatives
Ownership of Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Program and Cellular Services
Position Requirements:
•Bachelor Degree in Business, Information Technology, Science; other degrees will be considered with relevant experience.
•At least 7-10 years' experience in IT Team Lead, IT Project Lead/Owner and/or IT Project/Program Management
•Knowledgeable and practiced in IT Process and/or Project Methodology
•Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
•Experience of operating effectively in difficult environments
•Experience of managing large-scale projects and teams which bring together parties with diverse objectives and agendas
•Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple problems simultaneously
•Effective written and verbal communication skills
Experience in Agile Scrum and/or Mobile Apps would be a bonus
