Pipefitter – Field Service to Mexico
Great Starting Pay w/ daily Per Diem!!
We are seeking experienced Pipefitters for field service to Mexico. The selected candidates will begin immediately at the client’s facility in Sterling Heights, MI prior to field service to Mexico in October. The field service to Mexico is estimated to be a 6 to 8 week project. Upon return from the 6 to 8 week field service there will be opportunity for long-term work at the client's facility in Sterling Heights, MI.
Pipefitter Job Description:
Applies standard practices and procedures for the pneumatic and hydraulic assembly of automated assembly and welding systems used in the automotive industry from onset to installation at the customer facility.
Pipefitter Qualifications:
- Reads blueprints to interpret and implement pneumatic and hydraulic diagrams to assemble and pipe mechanical assemblies.
- Checks in material and verifies quantities and correctness.
- Maintains application skills for J.I.C. pipefitting specifications.
- Provides assistance with standard tools of trade (benders, flaring machines, etc.), shop tooling (drill press, bench grinder, belt sander, arc welder, etc.), and hydraulic and pneumatic components, and circuits.
- Assists with job layout to include piping, bending, hosing, and component placement.
- Sets working pressures, valve sequencing, hydraulic pressures, etc. Familiar with component functions (hydraulic and pneumatic valves, check valves, ball valves, FRL's, etc.)
- Makes sure that all changes are marked in drawings.
- Understands and follows safety & environmental regulations and identifies safety/environmental concerns.
- Adheres to the Quality System and participates in continuous improvement.
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
- Must own or be able to obtain a valid passport prior to departure
Education Requirements:
One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Drug Screen and criminal background check will be required for the position
