Position Summary
Responsible to manage IT programs and projects to meet Company goals and requirements, and ensure projects are completed according to budget and timelines, in conjunction with the department director. Manage a project management team and work with cross-functional departments to define and prioritize projects and programs.
Minimum Requirements
Degrees
Bachelor's Degree (Required) Computer Science
Business Administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Job Experience
Eight years progressive broad based information systems and business experience to include program/project management experience and skills (planning and organizing), implementing programs/projects or work process cycles from inception to completion.
Experience in technologic development and testing of applications required.
PMP Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent certification.
Supervisory Experience

Responsibilities and Essential Duties
Manage IT programs and projects to meet Company goals and requirements, ensure projects are successfully completed according to scope, budget and timelines and in accordance with department standards, and ensure compliance with SOX requirements accordingly. Work with project sponsors to determine resources (internal and/or external), risks and readiness for project launches.
Oversee assigned projects within the PMO portfolio from inception through project completion to include project planning, execution, ongoing project milestone tracking, timely communication, measurement of key performance metrics, and delivery of process training as needed by IT and business areas.
Assist with maintaining the IT capital budget to include preparing cost estimates, planning and forecasting capital budget, cost management, and related reporting to maintain an appropriate variance to approved capital budgets. Prepare department financial reports, consolidate department project updates and provide a summary for leadership.
Ensure effective communication and management of project expectations to project managers, sponsors, team members, executive management, and other stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. Monitor the results of projects (i.e., schedules, budget, etc.); identify and communicate concerns in a timely manner.
Work with IT Project Managers and cross-functional leaders to determine project resources and schedules, maintain knowledge of project status/issues, conduct risk assessments, resolve and/or initiate escalation of critical issues to department leadership to effectively resolve issues, approve scope changes, etc.
Mentor team on project management skills such as communication practices, implementation of new concepts and methodologies, acting as a change agent within the organization, etc., and ensure project managers can effectively lead teams, and analyze and communicate technical designs and project issues.
Responsible for department management including staffing, training, performance management and career development of associates, and developing and monitoring department goals. Develop and monitor department budget as required.
Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and best program/project management practices; make recommendations to improve current programs and processes. Establish and/or implement new or improved PMO processes, policies and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness and maximize project success.

Demonstrated ability to manage programs/projects of cross-functional teams; demonstrated knowledge of program/project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices and change management techniques. Ability to articulate technical information to a variety of audiences. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project). May be required to travel up to 25%.
