About this Opportunity
As a Senior Onsite Clinical Associate, you'll work in Health Services under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN) and Corporate Health Manager, performing drug screens, breath alcohol testing, audiograms, pulmonary function testing, vision testing, and vitals. You will serve as administrative support and employees' first point of contact for injury and illness, and assist in determining appropriate treatment while completing appropriate forms. You'll also assist in onsite urgent care as directed by the onsite provider.

* Maintain complete and accurate patient records and complete reports by recording pertinent patient data, medication given, treatment given, treatment administered, and other relevant patient information.
* Communicate with the RN regarding patient care and keep Work Team Leaders, Safety, and People Services Consultants up-to-date regarding patient status, testing, and appointments.
* Greet the patient and perform an initial assessment by obtaining their medical history, recording vital signs, and ensuring appropriate documentation is assigned.
* Assist the provider with examination and treatment as necessary.
* Prepare the patient and assemble and handle necessary supplies.
* Complete all necessary paperwork if the patient is referred to the provider.
* Perform audiograms according to CACOHC standards and Herman Miller policy.
* Perform drug screening and breath alcohol testing according to Herman Miller policy.
* Recommend appropriate first aid intervention per standing orders.
* Administer injections using standing orders.
* Administer prescription and non-prescription medications per standing orders.
* Perform pulmonary function testing according to NIOSH standards and Herman Miller policy.
* Professionally communicate when resolving routine and complex inquiries, redirecting messages or directing callers to another party as needed.
* Provide general administrative assistance to the department such as scheduling patients, managing supplies, covering phones, making copies, and filing.
* Schedule and send appropriate reminders for appointments as needed.
* Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

You might be just who we're looking for if you have...
* A technical/vocational degree or certification as a Medical Assistant, Paramedic, Emergency Medical Technician, or Certified Athletic Trainer.
* Two to five years of experience providing health services or administrative support.
* The ability to interact with various individuals with diverse backgrounds, strong customer service skills, the ability to complete detailed tasks while frequently being interrupted, and the ability to embrace change and evolving and changing work priorities.
* The ability to work cooperatively both in a team environment and independently
* Good communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
* A demonstrated ability to handle confidential information.
* Strong time management, multi-tasking, and process management skills.
* A demonstrated ability to effectively use the office automation, communication, software, and tools currently used in the Herman Miller office environment.
* The following certifications: CPR (120 days), CAOHC (120 days), DOT Drug Testing (120 days), and PFT Testing (120 days).
* The ability to perform all essential job functions of the position with or without accommodations.
