Reporting to the Head of NAFTA Human Resources, the Head of Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) will work closely with key stakeholders to shape a culture of inclusion, embracing diverse perspectives, work/life experiences and aspirations, and also be responsible for EEOC/OFCCP compliance efforts.
The Head of D&I will have visibility at the highest levels of the organization to ensure FCA is progressive beyond the tactical work of diversity & inclusion, beyond gender, ethnicity, flexible work environment and inclusion to ensure an innovative and grass-roots approach is engrained enterprise wide to the cultural fabric of FCA. Especially key to this position is enabling the mid-level management of the organization. The successful candidate must bring an ability to navigate across a rapidly evolving, high-growth business globally–with responsibility for the North America region. They must be able to shape and execute a talent acquisition and development strategy across various locations as it relates to diversity & inclusion. This position also serves as a representative of the company and must be able to build relationships with external stakeholders that will further our diversity & inclusion mission, protect and enhance our goodwill/brand, and establish the partnerships needed to enhance the business value.
This role must partner with Talent Acquisition, Leadership Development and HR Business Partners across the organization to ensure we attract and retain diverse talent, for continued success of the organization. This also includes the long-term view of development and rotation of talent within FCA to gain diverse experiences that will only enrich an employee’s potential. They must be able to spend time with key cross-functional internal stakeholders to understand the talent needs and diversity gaps, laying the framework with those leaders for the future state of talent inclusion at FCA. Most importantly, this individual must have a clear passion for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, the brands, innovation and building a word class, diverse & inclusive talent framework.
Key Accountabilities:
•Shape the diversity & inclusion philosophies, programs and initiatives to enable ownership of the culture and drive change from within FCA
•Lead efforts to help FCA’s geographically-dispersed workforce feel more connected and integrated as one company; develop an even more diverse, welcoming and inclusive community
•Partner with the Head of NAFTA Human Resources to lead the work of the Diversity Council (comprised of the COO’s direct reports) including the governance process of D&I activities, expand this council deep into the various business groups, and facilitate the business resource groups work through executive sponsorship and proactive inclusion work
•Develop and communicate plans to meet established goals
•Provide regular metrics and reporting against company initiatives
•Provide strategic guidance and operational programs to support senior leadership in the establishment of talent development programs, followed by demonstrated actions, as related to D&I
•Work closely with teams across human resources to assess and influence programs ensuring that creative solutions and initiatives are in place facilitating an inclusive workforce
•Foster deep relationships across FCA businesses and leverage those relationships to influence the organization around the importance and value of diversity & inclusion
•Monitor internal and external diversity trends and legal developments impacting policy and the recruitment and retention of coworkers
•Establish relationship with external D&I organizations and/or stakeholders in alignment with our diversity, inclusion and compliance strategies
•Direct the external diversity outreach and recruitment efforts including defining and coordinating and executing the corporate presence in external events
•Coordinate with various stakeholders on regulatory compliance matters including alleged violations of the company’s EEO and related policies, including harassment, discrimination, and retaliation
•Responsible for EEOC/OFCCP compliance activities including governance, processes, reporting, audit and case management

•Knowledge of and relationship with external D&I stakeholders
•Knowledge of Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action guidelines and labor laws as they relate to employment
•Experience with EEO-1 and VETS-4212 reporting and development of Affirmative Action Plans across multiple locations
•Experience with OFCCP desk audits and/or management reviews preferred
•Management of service vendor relationships
•Build strong networks with internal and external stakeholders, leveraging key relationships at all levels and guiding cross-functional leaders to strategy and long-term vision of the FCA talent initiatives
•Proven project management and change management skills are required
•Develop key demographic/experiential metrics and report on them to management regularly
•Knowledge of technology solutions, recruitment websites, applicant tracking systems and creative sourcing techniques is strongly preferred
•Track market information and competitor intelligence in terms of inclusion trends, attraction, selection and talent retention
