Job Details

Fisher Dynamics, a division of Fisher & Company, is hiring Inventory Control Specialists to support the Materials Department at our high volume manufacturing campus in St. Clair Shores campus. The primary focus of this position is to improve inventory reporting and reconciliation to improve material control. We are looking for qualified applicants with Hi-Lo experience for 2nd and 3rd shift.

Responsibilities

• Daily cycle counting as part of a core team of Inventory Control
• Work with material handlers, operators, and line leaders on the production floor
• Monitor and ensure that material loading into PLEX ERP work centers is correct
• Research and communicate discrepancies to upper managements, work with leadership to identify solutions
• Coordinate and audit FIFO in each plant, review material handlers and receiving
• Audit docks and receiving, audit container labels versus actual production reporting, verify container quantities, conduct physical inventories using a Hi-Lo to move material
• Work with Line Leaders and Supervisors to route cause shrink items
• Additional duties as assigned

Skills

• 2-3 years' experience with Inventory Control using PLEX or similar ERP system
• Hi-Lo experience and safe operating record
• Material Process background required, understanding of manufacturing processes preferred
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to train, teach, and coach individuals in a plant environment
• Computer skills and mathematical aptitude required for data tracking
• Work in a structured team environment and cross functionally

Education

• 2 year degree, or equivalent education and experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent required

Licensure

Hi-Lo License

Safety

Safety glasses are required. Other safety equipment required on an as needed basis.

Work Environment

Working environment and physical requirements of this position are those typical of a manufacturing environment and Shipping Dock. Exposure to weather when unloading trucks and transporting material outdoors and between plants

Physical Demands

Working environment and physical requirements of this position are those typical of a manufacturing environment and Shipping. Job requires very frequent visual effort and concentration, and extensive driving of hi-lo’s. The ability to lift 40 pounds is required. The work requires regular sitting, standing, moving about, and involves a variety of physical activities.
