BMT Aerospace is a well-established and growing aerospace manufacturing machining company seeking experienced NDT Technician for our Night Shift. Responsibilities
- Perform system capability checks.
- Proficient in reading, interpreting and evaluating indications.
- Comfort / willingness to work night shift as this is a night shift position only
- Basic comprehension skills needed to read/interpret customer specifications
- Must have 20/20 vision and be able to pass color blindness examination with or without corrective lenses
- Basic mathematic skills
- Perform NDT inspections
- Ability to follow documented and hands on instruction provided by the trainer
- Review all incoming customer specifications, codes, standards and other contractual documents that control the method(s)
- Responsible for developing and maintaining procedures and processes to ensure adherence to industry and customer requirements
- Review for accuracy product criteria and activity instruction associated with the NDT methods
- Organize, maintain report required documentation and records for specific method as required
- Maintain equipment, fixtures, and tools as necessary
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
- Ability to read and write in the English language
- Capable of lifting up to 50lbs
- Capable of standing through the entirety of the 12 hour shift
- Good self-discipline and self-motivation
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft office programs such as word and Excel
- Recommendation from direct report (leader/shift supervisor) preferred but not required
- Fundamental understanding of the general NDT modalities, i.e. Eddy Current, Etch, Fluorescent Penetrant, Magnetic particle, Ultrasonic and Radiographic Inspection methods preferred
