Position Description:
This position examines vendor supplied products, incoming inspection of products received, verifying by reading drawings, measuring parts, and working with purchasing to ensure components meet quality expectations.
Special Skills/Qualifications Required:
•Exercise independent judgement to determine whether vendor supplied product meets expectations, specifications, and quality standards and lead preventative action if necessary.
•Review supplier parts and work on continuous improvements with purchasing.
•Perform vendor audits for supplied products.
•Perform production audits for critical fasteners.
•Must be able to operate a torque wrench.
•Must be able to efficiently operate a Windows Tablet/PC.
•Read and understand sales orders, and production BOMs.
•Must be able to read basic mechanical prints and electrical schematics.
•Analyze quality assurance data, and make recommendations for improvements, and develop standards.
•Work with purchasing to identify vendors whom don't meet current Rev level of supplied drawings.
•1 to 3 years of Production and Process Improvement experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
*Must be willing to acquire a CDL license at some point, having a CDL would be a plus.*
Champion Bus, Inc., was founded in 1953 and located on 73 acres just outside Imlay City, Michigan.
