Position Description: This position interprets and converts sales orders into BOMs. The BOM Analyst will be responsible for maintaining and updating bills of material to support sustaining products. This role will work under the direction of a supervisor and in conjunction with engineering/product development teams to ensure BOM accuracy. The expectation of this role is to work within a cross functional team to create accurate BOMs to meet the Business’s needs and drive growth.
Specific Job Functions Include:
•Maintain and update bills of material to support sustaining products
•Create BOMs for sales for quoting/costing purposes.
•Process Engineering changes to the BOM
•Support company's long-range product development goals and objectives through ensuring accuracy in the bills of material.
•Input and Support changes required to maintain correct bills of materials
•Audit production units for accuracy of bills of materials and production usages
•Communicate cross functionally to resolve material discrepancies
Special Skills/Qualifications Required:
•Experience working with bills of material either in office or in production areas.
•Experience in bus construction.
•Ability to read and understand a bill of material and material routing.
•Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
•Ability of learning systems used for bill of material entry.
•Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, highly motivated, organized and self-disciplined.
•SAP Experience a plus.
