Project Manager

Zeeland Farm Services, Inc. is seeking a bright, creative individual to work as part of our team in the role of Project Manager located in Zeeland, Michigan. The Project Manager researches projects, gathers information and help direct approved projects, help supports plant operations through technical support of day to day operations and overseeing projects by organizing and supervising project design, installation and startup elements by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Researches Projects as directed by management, Works to develop approved project objectives by reviewing project proposals, plans, and getting quotes; conferring with plant and corporate management. Coordinates project planning with plant operations management.
2. Helps determine project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements; reviewing bids from contractors.
3. Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates.
4. Helps Coordinate project schedule and implementation, by helping coordinate project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements.
5. Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.
6. Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions.
7. Controls project costs by approving expenditures; administering contractor contracts.
8. Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions.
9. Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
10. Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.
11. Other projects and tasks as requested.
