Responsibilities
- May work up to 40 hours per week during temporary employment
- Temporary employment for 180 days
- There is no guarantee of permanent employment, but:
- After 180 days the temporary employee may apply to move into full/part time position with benefits if a position becomes available
- At that time the proper process should be discussed with the float pool manager and HR Representative
- Regions include:
- East-West Macomb: Dequindre to East of 1-94
- North-South Macomb: 10 Mile Road to 37 Mile Road
- Must be available to work within the following timeframes and days of the week:
- Earliest start time: Weekdays until 7:30 a.m.; Weekends 8 a.m.
- Latest close time: Weekdays until 8:00 p.m.; Weekend 2 p.m.
- Days of the Week: Monday-Saturday
Under the supervision of the team leader/supervisor or their designee CSR duties include, but are not limited to:
- Following prescribed procedures to schedule patient appointments
- Responding to telephone inquiries from patients, physicians, employees and other internal and external customers regarding referrals and services offered with HFHS
- Completing necessary paperwork on patient visit and forwards to appropriate clinic
- Maintaining documentation of calls received and problems encountered that need administrative follow-up
- Assisting other clinic team members when necessary
- Complies with all HFHS and departmental specific safety standards including, Universal Precautions, Electrical Safety, Infection Control, Fire Safety, and Emergency Procedures
- Handles all in-coming telephone activity, including answering phones promptly, according to clinic protocol
- Opens and closes conversation appropriately
- Manages call volume, according to system standards; records messages thoroughly, accurately, and legibly; initials messages
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
REQUIRED: A level of knowledge that is normally associated by completion of high school or equivalent
REQUIRED: Have knowledge, skills, and competencies to work effectively with populations of diverse background and a variety of ages
PREFERRED: 1-2 years previous experience working in a Medical, Dental, or Chiropractic office in which daily interaction with patients was required
