The Business Unit Risk Analyst II is responsible for effectively providing regulatory expertise to team members and providing oversight of self-assessments and regulatory reviews and acting as the primary contact for management. This role is a risk management position and will support the operations in the bank's Commercial Underwriting and Support Services Organization and Credit Underwriting Center and Business Loan Center. Examples of this support include Third Party Risk, RCSA's (Risk and Control Self Assessments), Independent Validation, Business Continuity, KRI Reporting, Oversight of Self-Testing, Data Integrity, Audit Management, Product Risk, Process Mapping and Project Risk Management. This role will collaborate with the Second Line of Defense (SLOD) as well as Line of Business (LOB) managers on risk management techniques and approach and execute on their assigned functions in order to assess and mitigate risk and ensure controls are established. The risk manager role will also work on risk related projects in order to assess and mitigate risk and ensure controls are established.

Position Responsibilities:
* Lead management and oversight of all regulatory and audit inquiries.
* Responsible for the coordination and preparation of audit and exam responses.
* Ensures key regulatory timelines and required documents are tested.
* Ensures audit and self-testing findings are reported to management of impacted areas and process improvements are identified to avoid future issues.
* Perform risk analysis to determine level of risk to the bank and recommend action(s) to mitigate risk.
* Develop and implement new compliance programs to address regulatory changes .
* Monitor and interpret policies, processes and procedures for assigned line of business and support business line with updates/changes as required.
* Recommend ways to reduce turn times while balancing operational risk.
* Analyze and make recommendations on department policies, processes and procedures. Find and implement opportunities to improve data integrity.
* Partners with the business unit(s) to ensure all, processes and procedures are in compliance with policies and federal regulations.
* Management of and/or participation in medium to large sized projects related to risk and compliance.
* Work collaboratively with business units and others on the implementation of new regulations.
* Represent the business on risk and compliance committees as assigned.
* Educate and train business unit on risks that affect them.
* Ensure compliance training requirements are properly communicated and completed.
* Work on strategic initiatives and risk related projects in order to assess and mitigate risk and ensure controls are established.
