FCA is currently seeking a Commercial Cost and Savings Analyst to work in our finance purchasing area at our Headquarters and Technology Center in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
What You’ll Do:
The Commercial Cost and Savings Analyst is responsible for the part economics and savings process by tracking and reporting the status and value against FCA targets. The Analyst will also assist commodity managers and purchasing operations by helping them to achieve accurate savings and part economics calculations.
Job responsibilities include but not limited to:
•Actively participate in the Technical Cost Reduction/Commercial Cost Management/Cost Savings Initiative (TCR/CCM/CSI) savings database for all material savings ideas to track, forecast and report the status and value against variable budget
•Provide financial support to each commodity group (chemical, electrical, metallic, and powertrain) within direct purchasing
•Review the financial impacts of commercial savings ideas and credit buyer performance accordingly
•Evaluate the financial impacts of piece price increases, purchase order requisitions, and simulator differentials
•Perform month-end close and reconcile
•Assist in yearly product cost study
•Provide ad-hoc reporting as needed for all levels of management
Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting or a related Business degree
•18 months related experience or Master’s degree with 6 months related experience
•Finance experience in budgeting and forecasting
Preferred Qualifications:
•Knowledge of accounting including journal entries/vouchers, month-end close
•Strong personal computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
•Excellent accounting, analytical and teamwork skills
•Ability to interact will all levels
•Ability to work under pressure and in a time constrained environment
•Problem solving and ability to multi task
•Experience with SAP
