Position Summary:
HARMAN's diverse portfolio of businesses and customers offer interns a great opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of projects and practices. As a member of our team, your primary role will be to provide assistance to the program management team by managing builds and enhancing the tracking system of program management.
Job Responsibilities:
•Manage inventory of material across multiple teams and customer requests. Includes tracking and delivery
•Understand and learn the complex responsibilities of Program Management through observation and hands-on experience in assisting others within the PM Staff
•Work with Program Manager, Software, Hardware team members and assist on different Program related tasks related to ongoing projects.
•Prepare head units for Certification/Validation and Software testing/ Coordinate samples preparation and shipping.
•Work with Prototype/Car Lab technicians to prepare vehicles for head unit demos.
Basic Qualifications:
•Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program in Sophomore year or later, or graduate/Ph.D. program at an accredited institution taking at least one class in the semester prior to the internship program and returning to school for at least one semester upon completion of the internship program
•Degree must be in a related area of work with courses in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
•Previous entry-level work experience strongly preferred
•Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to confidently interact and present information to senior leaders
•Must work collaboratively with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
•Must provide work availability and be able to work 40 hours per week
•Strongly prefer candidates who live within a commutable distance
•Must provide own housing and transportation to/from work
•Must provide proper work authorization
