- Master’s degree with coursework in educational administration, early childhood education or human services.
- Three to five years of successful recent and relevant experience within early childhood systems which may include program supervision and/or administration of programs and services.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and skill applications with research and evidence-based practices in early childhood to support young children and their families.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and skill applications with statutes, regulations, and guidelines governing early childhood and ability to develop appropriate policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated skills in supervisory functions such as appraisal, team building, continuous improvement, conflict management and problem solving.
- Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences, provide leadership to staff and an ability to work collaboratively with families, agencies and constituent staff/administrators.
- Self-directedness and initiative when given a variety of responsibilities and assigned tasks/projects.
- Demonstrated ability to gather information, analyze data, problem solve and implement decisions in both a leadership capacity and within varied team compositions.
