Trading Platform Systems Specialist
Position Summary
As a member of the Command Center, this role is responsible for middle and back office functions relating to Comerica WM portfolios on the Envestnet platform. Team members will also be responsible for maintaining accounts within their risk region, transitioning portfolios and reporting compliance exceptions to the Group head. This position will report directly to the Group Head of Command Center. The Sr. Analysts as a team will have responsibility for approximately 4000 existing accounts which are to be transitioned to Preferred Portfolios in addition to a growing account base. The Risk Trading team members will be in Michigan.
Responsibilities:
•Execute client directed trades and bond trades for investment management accounts on Envestnet.
•For accounts not suited to Tax Overlay Services, manage transition process via model update, out of non-approved products and replace with approved products in line with Comerica Guidelines.
•Set up automatic annual rebalance on all accounts
•Provide reports on IP Exceptions to appropriate parties
•Weekly basis: review with Group Head those IP Violations that Command is tasked to remediate
•Ensure that appropriate parties are receiving Envestnet or other reports
•Monitor trading files for mutual funds, collective funds and equities daily. Address issues with Envestnet and/or Fiduciary Services & Operations to ensure correction prior to end of business day.
•Cover Command Center and Account Opening mailboxes.
•Complete tasks noted in Critical Items file daily to ensure execution and prevent trade errors.
•Work with IT and vendors to determine and implement effective solutions to system issues.
•First responder to questions from Investment Professionals and Envestnet.
•Provides support to Envestnet and IT on a variety of production related issues. Collects and analyzes data to identify/evaluate operational issues and makes recommendations to solve problems
•Participate in system tests/validations to ensure that the external customers will experience minimal impact.
•Weekly review and remediation of risk variance exceptions
•Review and rebalance CIO directed asset allocation changes
•Notify IS on action taken to remediate exceptions
•Review any unapproved exceptions with Group Head
•Work with Compliance to facilitate exception reporting
•Maintain up to date knowledge of Comerica WM investment management approach, process, asset allocation guidelines, risk regions and approved (and no longer approved) strategies and products.
