Job Description/Responsibilities
This intern will be responsible for assisting with the user interface (UI), user experience (UX), and code development for interactive work tools and custom applications to support storm restoration efforts. This role will assist the analyst with focusing on developing and integrating a mobile app with an existing database to automate storm call-out and activation of office resources.This internship is very similar to a full-stack web development role with an emphasis on designing solutions for a positive user experience. The solution delivered will be scalable for company-wide use and ensure Standard Work is available where and where needed and is easy to use. This intern will assist in leading project planning activities, decision-making, design, and execution regarding user experience strategy, interaction design, product testing, and on-time delivery.
Some responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
•Use web development languages and frameworks to program functions, work tools, applications, interfaces, etc. for new and on-going projects:
•Design and build frontend user interfaces with HTML/CSS
•Develop and utilize JavaScript functions and frameworks
•Test products and concepts with real users to ensure positive user experience
•Deliver accessible products to a variety of devices, screens and platforms
•User Experience direction for projects
•Evaluation, testing, and proposal of project deliverables
•Lead the development of design systems, code repositories, and style conventions
•Plan for developing and completing project activities
•Collaborate with cross-functional team, SMEs, and business partners on the development, testing, and acceptance of functional solutions, interfaces, and graphic interactions
•Lead and facilitate the development and approval of code functions that meet business needs
•Approach projects with the "user first" methodology to propose the best solutions
•Assist with building buy-in for products from users and stakeholders

Requirements/Qualifications
Actively enrolled and pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field. A minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher is required.
MUST be a current student to be eligible for an Intern role.
