Auto-Pro Glass & Tire, a full-service glass, tire and automotive repair facility, seeks a reliable and motivated Mechanic to join our team in Houghton, Michigan. Then our Mechanic position is perfect for a person like you!
COMPENSATION/BENEFITS. $15 - $25 per hour, based on your knowledge and experience. In addition, our team enjoys performance incentives, a SIMPLE IRA, supplemental insurance, paid vacation and paid holidays, and ample training. The ideal candidate works 8am – 5pm Monday through Friday and occasionally on Saturdays.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL. The Auto-Pro Mechanic has an exceptional work ethic, is trustworthy and reliable, and is committed to providing top-notch service to our staff, customers and vendors. To succeed, an applicant has:
- Previous work experience as a vehicle service mechanic, however, we will train an entry level mechanic who demonstrates a passion for our business and the work we do.
- Alignment experience, a bonus.
- Steering & Suspension and Brake Certifications preferred, but not required.
- Ability to diagnosis steering and suspension vehicle problems, perform light/heavy automotive mechanical repairs, vehicle maintenance, change tires, and repair auto glass.
- Ability to use shop computers necessary for diagnostics.
- Excellent time management and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems.
- Ability to work under time constraints to ensure deadlines are met.
- Attention to detail and pride in your work.
- Reliable transportation, required.
- Valid driver’s license, required.
