The core responsibilities of a Senior Buyer are the development, ownership, and execution of full lifecycle commodity strategies which include but are not limited to:
•Leading all aspects of the commercial relationship with the supply base and internal customers including sourcing process/budget management, benchmarking, supplier relations, Purchase Order issuance/maintenance, supply/delivery, cost savings, economic claim negotiations, etc.
•Leading regional and global supplier development and cross-functional communications with suppliers using a “One Voice” approach
•Leading a cross-functional team including partners from: Product Design Office, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Supplier Quality and Finance
•Frequent professional communication with senior leadership

Basic Qualifications:
•You have completed a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Finance, Economics, or closely related field from an ABET accredited university
•You have a minimum of 5 years of purchasing or closely related relevant experience.
•You have strong communication skills and are highly customer focused
•You are great at leading cross-functional teams
•You have a strong fluency with MS Office Suite/G Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
•Master’s degree
•Experience with SAP
•Global commodity experience: participating in global sourcing activities and working in global teams
