Job Description:
Material Planner (PC&L Specialist)
*Meet all plant safety goals and policies
*Schedule material from suppliers to meet on time delivery
*Escalate and devise recovery plans for material shortages
*Issue and follow up with problem cases with suppliers
*Follow daily standardized work for material Analyst
*Maintain accurate inventory records – Perform daily/weekly/monthly cycle counts and make improvements
*Work with and develop suppliers, insure on-time delivery of parts
*Set-up parameters within the ERP scheduling system (PLEX)
*Enter material receipts
*Develop inbound transportation plans
*Resolve supplier packaging issues
*Assist with layout for the purchase parts warehouse
*Understand and work within the local contract agreement
*Support, review, and update department procedures
*Participate in new program launches
*Publish schedules and reports as required
Requirements
*Must be able to work a flexible schedule
*Proficient computer skills
*Good oral and written communication skills
*Ability to work in a team environment
*Excellent Problem Solving skills
*Must be a hands-on person, willing to work on the manufacturing floor.
*Prior manufacturing plant experience
*Prior material scheduling experience using ERP system (preferred PLEX)
*Prior logistics experience
*Material packaging experience (preferred)
Education
*Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or Packaging preferred.
*High School Diploma or equivalent with three (3) years of experience required.
